Daz3D and Poser Cyro Chamber Issue

I got the Cyro Chambers from Daz 3D as a possible prop to use in my Mars Station One story over at www.marsstationone.com, but when I tried to use the more modern looking NeoChamber I could not figure out how to make it work right. I could load it into my Daz scenes, however, I could not open any of the doors. Not good if I decided I wanted to use the crynogenic chambers in my story.

After a few days of trying to work out how to make the doors work I tried to just unparent them from the chamber so I could move them on my own. Still no luck on that. Finally I went to the Daz 3D forums to see if anyone else had experienced this same kind of problem with the NeoChamber Cryo Chamber.

Sure enough, others had experienced a problem in trying to get the doors to open on the NeoChamber. The person that made the Cryo Chambers explained the issue, and where to locate the control that opens the chamber.

For Daz Studio you select the Neo Chamber and open the Parameters tab, at the bottom select the “Morphs” and that is where the slider that opens the chamber doors is located. All three doors were slaved together to allow a smoother operation of the top door, which slides up then back.

Do I dare update WordPress?

I see this announcement at the top of the blog admin area that says I should update to WordPress 3.0 and yet… I remember trying that a few days back with my Family Caregiver blog and I still can not get back into the admin area to fix the mess that was made when I upgraded WordPress.

Dare I upgrade this one before I figure out what happened on the other one?…. ehhh…. no.

Gareth David-Lloyd penned Torchwood comic for official Torchwood Magazine

Just because I am very excited about it, and it is on topic with the post I made about getting your story posted in the official Torchwood Magazine, I wanted to let you all know about the comic titled ‘Shrouded’, that appears in the April 15th issue of Torchwood Magazine.

The comic focus on the character Ianto Jones, and was written by Gareth David-Lloyd, the actor who portrayed the character in the series.

In talking about the focus of the comic David-Lloyd says, “I feel I know this character implicitly. The narrative of this comic focuses predominantly on Ianto, and integrates a number of characters who have been missed by Torchwood’s ardent followers.”

The comic is illustrated by Pia Guerra, and is a two part comic with the first part in the April 15th issue of the Official Torchwood Magazine.

I plan to pick up my copy today.

Side tracked

I got side tracked from my painting and writing both by tax time, but I am hoping to get back into the full swing of both over the next couple of weeks. The painting and videos will need to wait a bit longer, since I have a bunch of writing to catch up on, but I will get back to the painting as soon as I can, because I have a lot of fun with that and love making videos.

Romantic Cancun Vacation

Every once in a while I get one of those days where I know that things are going to be lousy even before the day starts. Those days that are preceded by this sensation that by the end of the day you are going to end up wanting nothing more than to scream and throw something at the wall. These are the days when I can feel the exhaustion as it seeps into my bones, days when I just can not focus. I’m so exhausted, my energy so low, that I know I need to escape and recharge before I burn out. Unfortunately daydreaming about escape is often as close as I get to that needed relaxation.

So, if you are going to daydream, daydream about things like long sandy beaches and swim up bars. About nice romantic cancun vacation for one. About a chance to get away from it all and pamper yourself for a little while without worrying about anything else.
